Object Name Album
Scope & Content An album that records a family trip that lasted approximately two weeks. Abum is made of an old shirt cut to form pages and a cover. Back cover is longer than the pages by about 2". This 2" is wrapped around to the front cover. The flap contains two yarn loops which attach to two buttons sewn on front cover. Pages and cover are sewn w/several large loops on the spine. Shirt material is brown and black striped polished cotton . Title of album is, THE TALE OF A SHIRT/1922. Album records what the family did each day w/this narrative accompanied by a representation of the events. Author of album made use of photos and drawings from magazines and some dried leaves. Narrative is in pencil; title in ink. Half of one button is missing. A few loose pictures in album. A few adhesive or glue stains.
